Let’s see the features of the MQTT Client Application.
When you first start the MQTT Client App, you will be greeted by this screen. No MQTT Broker address specified.
To use the application, you need to make the settings. Clicking on the red button takes you to the Settings screen.

By clicking on the Language button, you can select the language of the application from the menu that opens. English, German or Hungarian are currently available.
In the next block, you can change the title bar of the MQTT Client App main screen to your liking.
In the third group, we need to provide the connection information required for the MQTT Broker. Fields marked with an asterisk are required. Entering the IP address and Port of the MQTT server is essential for the connection. Entering a user name and password depends on the server settings.
You can use the “Main Screen Items settings” button to create the layout of the main screen.

In the “Main Screen Items settings” menu, select the “Add…” menu item. (Nothing else here) In the drop-down block you can set the properties of the item to be placed on the main screen.
Select Button from the Field Type drop-down list.
Check the Visible check box to display the item on the main screen of the MQTT Client App.
You can enter a friendly name for the button, this will be the caption for the button on the main screen. It is not mandatory to change it, but it cannot be left blank.
In the next field, enter the name of the topic for the device you want to control.
Then enter the messages to turn on or off, and save.
The button appears in the “Home Screen Item Settings” menu.
By clicking on this menu item, you can change the settings of the button.

Returning to the button settings, you can add RGB and/or brightness adjustment options.
If the connected lamp supports dimming, select the “Dimmer” check box.

If the RGB Check box is not selected, the button on the main screen will be labeled “Dimmer”.
For an RGB lamp, select the RGB check box and enter the corresponding topic.
The color of the RGB Button on the main screen changes the value of the set color and its caption changes to RGB.
Once we’re done with that, don’t forget to save it.
You can also place values published by sensors on the home screen of the Mqtt Client App. The following example shows the daytime temperature.
In the “Main Screen Item Settings” menu, click the “Add…” menu item.
Then select the Sensor type here.
Select the “Visible” checkbox.
Enter the name of the sensor, this name will be displayed on the main screen. The initial value does not need to be changed, but it cannot be left blank.
If you want to set a unit for the sensor value, it can be left blank.
The most important field is the topic associated with the sensor. Required.
Save the settings.
The value of the set sensor is displayed on the main screen.
Based on the above, additional items can be added to the MQTT Client App home screen.
